This is one of my fave Random pics. This is a homeless Polish man in London called Christof. i just loved all his badges and asked him if i could take his pic. I love his shifty scared look on his face. I also like the composition of this image, it was totally accidental, because i took it quickly on my way to the eye, but the posts behind him frame him and make him look important, i suppose he is a bit like our pearly king and queen.

I am a London girl at heart as you can see from my fave pics above. I was born in Middlesex in May 1988, making me 18. Yes, not only am i an amazing photographer, i am also good at maths, he he. I keep a rubbishy little digi cam in my hadbag which i take everywhere, whichever handbag it may be (i collect handbags too, and have over 50!), and whenever i see something which i think would make a good picture i whip it out and take a pic. I wouldn't want to carry a heavy slr everywhere, and this one doesn't matter if it gets scratched or dropped, which it has had a lot.

My interest in photography started when i was studying for my Textiles G.C.S.E. instead of drawing things for my research i went out and took pictures. My teacher said my photos were better than my final pieces, so i decided to do photography a level. This proved a challenge because i got a C in textiles and i needed a B to get onto the course. So i made a porfolio of my work and showed it to the photography teacher. She really liked it and let me onto the course. iI was greatly encouraged by family, as i discovered that my father and ym grandfather were both into photography. My grandfather had worked for Kodak. He gave me all his old darkroom equipment and loads of things. After gaining my AS levels i decieded to go to college to study photography alone instead of finishing my other A levels because i thought i would suit a more relaxed creative environment instead of a stuffy academic one. Being dyslexic doing subjects which involve lots of writting isn't much fun. I am also a kinasthetic learner (i have no idea how to spell that) which means i learn by doing things, so being in a hands on enviroment is great for me.

West suffolk college where i am studying for a National diploma in photography suits me more than any previous education i have ever had. I have achieved all passes and merits this year.This year I have learnt so much. My darkroom work is so much better than a year ago, i can now make images which have the correct balance instead of just accepting the first ok image i made. I can now use photoshop to edit my images and do some really cool stuff to my work which you will be able to see later. I have learnt how to express myself through my images better, so that i don't have to rely on words all the time. This course is brill and i would recomend it to anyone.

My course has helped me to discover my strengths and my faveourite types of photography. I like to take pictures of little things that other people wouldn't neccesarily notice normally. For example i once saw a snail on a log and went up close to it and took a really cool black and white image of it. I am also getting into photojournalism.
I took some pictures of VINCH FINCH delicatessan in Bury St.Edmunds which were used for their website WWW.VINCHFINCH.CO.UK, their promotional leaflets, and in East magazine on their focus on Bury St.Edmunds edition. From this i was contacted and have been asked to do future work for them.

I was also lucky enough to do work experience with the news of the world. I cover the wedding of Charles and Camilla. One of the pictures i took of the crowd was even used in the wedding edition of the paper. I also had the experience of stalking celebs, i waited outside the home of Kate Moss.

this is my first post on here, woo!
